Cloisonne Lapel Pins- are die-struck from a copper bronze surface. A die is created to imprint your design into the metal. The outline of the pin and any cut-outs are then cut with another mold. Colors are hand-filled with a powdered glass-like mixture. Colors are fired one at a time at 1,600 F for two to four minutes. This two step process insures that bleeding of colors does not occur. Next, the pins are individually hand polished and then gold or silver plated. Then each pin is inspected to ensure only the highest quality is individually packaged and sent to us for final inspection.

Soft Enamel Lapel Pins - A die is created to match the image of your design. Your image is then stamped on a sheet of copper. Copper is a softer metal and allows the cleanest and most accurate reproduction of your design. Once your pin is stamped it will appear as a coin or “piece of eight” on the copper sheet and will need to be cut away from the copper sheet. Cutting molds are made separately, and the pins are cut to the outline of the design shape. Plating is done next. The indentations or recessed areas of your pins are then filled with LEAD FREE enamel colors. Colors are inserted by hand, one at a time, using different sized syringes. Excess colors are wiped off the raised metal surfaces. The pins are then fired at 450°F for 12 to 15 minutes. An optional epoxy protective coating (dome) can then be applied to protect and preserve the enamel colors.

Die Struck Lapel Pins begins with creating the die of your lapel pin design. Then a sheet of copper, brass, or iron is stamped using the die, creating an impression of your design in the metal. Shape-cutting molds are made separately, and the pins are cut out to the outline of the design shape. Plating is done next: for this type of pin the most common is gold on gold, but other metal platings such as silver and black nickel are available. The raised metal surfaces are then highly polished to a luster finish while recessed areas are left with a sandblasted look.
Die Struck lapel pins can also be finished with an antique finish, as shown in the examples above, which gives the pins a unique, aged appearance, and greatly increases the contrast of your design.

Offset Printed Lapel Pins begin when image of your design is transferred from a photographic negative onto the surface of the metal lapel pin. The offset printed style of pin is used in instances where a gradient of color shift is necessary. Using the offset printed process we are able to print pictures, images, and camera ready artwork using a 4-color process. The image is offset printed onto the pin blank in your choice of gold or nickel (silver), then a clear epoxy dome is applied to protect the images surface. We recommend providing 300dpi Camera ready artwork for this process to ensure that a quality image is available for printing.

Photo Etched Lapel Pins are the most popular type of lapel pin for promotional products, Sports Trading Pins and Political Campaigns. Photo etched lapel pins offer a similar look to the cloisonné but are less expensive. The photo etched lapel pins process allows for more detailed designs and a wider spectrum of colors to choose from. A computer Photo Etches your design onto a brass plate. The design is then filled with the colored enamels of your choice. The lapel pins are fired in a kiln to ensure durability and high quality. The Photo Etched Lapel pin is polished and then a clear protective epoxy finish is applied to protect the underlying colors.

Traditionionally, challenge coins had its beginning in World War I. Challenge coins were issued to battalions as symbols of camaraderie and unity. As time went by, the "challenge" of the challenge coin signified the ability to show your coin as a means of verifying membership in a club, group, or military unit.
When someone produces their challenge coin, you must produce your coin within 60 seconds. If you are unable to, you must meet the challenge. The “challenge” associated with the challenge coin could be to perform a specific task, buy the other person a drink, or any thing determined by the group who issued the challenge coin.
